Synopsis
Fundamentals of IT course provides a foundation in the basic IT knowledge and skills necessary for ICT professionals. Student are exposed to the principles and good practices in environmentally sustainable computing and the use of appropriate technologies and methodologies in managing IT environment. This course also introduces students to the professional ethics in which computer professionals apply codes of ethics, ethical issues and standards of good practice within their profession.
This course consists of continuous assessment and final examination. Continuous assessment is carried out throughout the semester and comprises of the following:-
a) test - 15% (min 1)
b) quiz - 5% (min 3)
c) Reflective Journal - 15% (min 5)
d) Peer Assessment - 15% (min 6)
e) Case Study - 25% (min 2)
f) Discussion - 25% (min 3)
